Yes, absolutely. We regularly care for pregnant and breastfeeding patients, and we want you to feel confident about visiting us during this important time. Please be assured that our physicians carefully select medications that are recognized as safe during pregnancy and lactation, drawing on internationally trusted references such as the FDA pregnancy categories, LactMed, and Japanese clinical guidelines. Whenever a treatment decision involves weighing benefits and risks, we will explain our reasoning clearly so you can make an informed choice together with us. When you visit, please let our staff know that you are pregnant or breastfeeding (and, if pregnant, how many weeks along you are). If you have an obstetrician or midwife in your home country, we are also happy to coordinate care or provide a written summary of your visit so that your regular provider can stay informed. Common concerns we are well-equipped to address include colds and respiratory infections, fevers, urinary tract infections, allergies, gastrointestinal upset, skin problems, and travel-related illnesses. For pregnancy-specific complications or obstetric emergencies, we will help arrange referral to an appropriate specialist hospital.
